How Does TempSure Envi Work?

The TempSure Envi system uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of the skin. The RF energy is converted to heat, which stimulates the growth of new collagen fibers. What to Expect Before & After Your PicoSure Pro Treatment

One of the reasons PicoSure Pro is becoming so popular is because of its ease and convenience. Most treatments don’t take much more than 20-25 minutes, and discomfort during the procedure is typically minimal. Most patients describe the sensation as similar to a sunburn, which is better tolerated by some than others.

Before each procedure, we will first cleanse and numb the treatment site with topical lidocaine for 15 minutes to help minimize discomfort. The larger treatment areas are divided into quadrants using a white pencil to ensure the laser is distributed precisely, effectively and efficiently.

During treatment, a slight snapping sound will be heard as the laser passes over the treatment area. Patients may feel some mild discomfort.

To calm the skin following laser procedure and to expedite recovery, we apply a hydrating silk mask for 10-15 minutes, followed by moisturizer and sunscreen application to end the treatment.

There is typically very minimal downtime with the PicoSure Pro treatment. Avoid strenuous activities for the first 24 hours. Make-up can be applied four hours following procedure. It’s important to avoid sun exposure and ensure proper sun protection and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF 30 or higher. This helps to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and recurrence of pigmentation.
